About Us
Crosshall Nursery is part of Crosshall Infant School Academy Trust and we provide education for 3 and 4 year olds.
Children attend Monday to Friday in term time attending either 5 morning sessions or 5 afternoon session. We also provide additional childcare in Crosshall Nursery Wraparound Care. The maximum number of children that can be admitted to our nursery is 39 in each morning session and 39 in each afternoon session.
Unfortunately it is not possible for a child to attend full time at the nursery, nor can a child swap between morning or afternoon sessions however a child can attend full time by attending Crosshall Nursery School and Crosshall Nursery Wraparound Care.
What We Offer
Our Session Times
Children attending Crosshall Nursery receive 15 hours of universal nursery provision and attend either:
a) 5 morning sessions: 8:30am - 11.30am or
b) 5 afternoon sessions: 12.30pm - 3:30pm
If you are eligible for 30 hours or would like additional hours of childcare, these can be provided by Crosshall Nursery Wraparound Care.
The lunch time period of 11:30am - 12pm will incur an additional cost of £4.75 and will include a hot school lunch.
Cost
Children who attend Crosshall Nursery will be eligible to receive 15 hours of government funding. If your child was born between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021, they will be eligible to receive 15 hours of government funded nursery education at our Nursery from September 2024.
If your child was born between 1st September 2021 and 31st August 2022, they will be eligible to receive 15 hours of government funded nursery education at our Nursery from September 2025.
Some children may also be eligible for up to 30 hours of government funded childcare. Please check eligibility at the Government's Childcare Choices website www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
Crosshall Nursery Wraparound Care:
We are able to offer additional wraparound childcare through Crosshall Nursery Wraparound Care. Crosshall Nursery Wraparound Care enables us to provide a full day of childcare beyond the hours covered by the Nursery. Crosshall Nursery Wraparound Care opens at 8am and closes at 6pm and is open for 50 weeks of the year. From 1st September 2025
From 1st September 2025, children will be eligible to join our nursery the term following their 3rd birthday (September, January or April). The maximum number of children that can be attend a session in our nursery is 40.
All sessions will take place in the nursery building and every child will need to attend nursery for a minimum of 15 hours per week. Parents / Carers are able to choose the sessions you would like your child to attend and this can be a mix of mornings, afternoons or full day. It is no longer mandatory for a child to attend nursery for 5 days a week.
Our new session times will be:
Morning Session | 9am - 12pm (no lunch) | 3 hours |

11:30am - 3pm (lunch included) | 3.5 hours | |
Full Day | 9am - 3pm (lunch included) | 6 hours |
Lunch will incur an additional cost of £2.50 per day.
You can use your childcare entitlement to extend your day by using out Kids Club between 8am - 9am and 3pm - 6pm. Allocations for Kids Club provision will be accordance with the Kids Club Admissions policy.
If you exceed your childcare entitlement (15/30 hours) you will incur additional charges for the nursery / Kids Club sessions. The hourly rate will be £6.00.
A PE session will take place on a weekly basis on a Tuesday morning delivered by Premier Sports and Wellie Wednesday will take place on a weekly basis on Wednesdays in the Magic Garden.
