About Us

Crosshall Nursery is part of Crosshall Infant School and we provide education for 3 and 4 year olds.

From 1st September 2025

 

From 1st September 2025, children will be eligible to join our nursery the term following their 3rd birthday (September, January or April). The maximum number of children that can be attend a session in our nursery is 40.

 

All sessions will take place in the nursery building and every child will need to attend nursery for a minimum of 15 hours per week. Parents / Carers are able to choose the sessions you would like your child to attend and this can be a mix of mornings, afternoons or full day. It is no longer mandatory for a child to attend nursery for 5 days a week. 

 

Our new session times will be:

 

Morning Session9am - 12pm (no lunch)3 hours
9am - 12:30pm (lunch included)3.5 hours
Afternoon Session12pm - 3pm (no lunch)3 hours
11:30am - 3pm (lunch included)3.5 hours
Full Day9am - 3pm (lunch included)6 hours

 

A hot school lunch is optional and will incur an additional cost of £2.50 per day.  If you do not wish to have a hot school lunch you will need to provide your child with a packed lunch. Information on what to provide in a packed lunch can be found here.

 

We do not charge for snacks or consumables.

 

You can use your childcare entitlement to extend your day by using out Kids Club between 8am - 9am and 3pm - 6pm. Allocations for Kids Club provision will be accordance with the Kids Club Admissions policy.

 

If you exceed your childcare entitlement (15/30 hours) you will incur additional charges for the nursery / Kids Club sessions. The hourly rate will be £6.00.

 

A PE session will take place on a weekly basis on a Tuesday morning delivered by Premier Sports and Wellie Wednesday will take place on a weekly basis on Wednesdays in the Magic Garden.
